Glanceable Mac
Mac's latest OS includes the OS X Dashboard, which is basically a glanceable interface for internet info on your desktop.
Some of the interfaces are more glanceable than others, with some getting into the realm of accessory apps (calculator) and eye candy. But there are some gems, like the Yahoo! Traffic Conditions, that actually is driven by a simple RSS feed.
