Phillips has been pursuing Ambient Intelligence for quite some time so it's worth mentioning they have a good variety of resources about what they have found. It's R&D, so some of it is a bit over the top, and some of it you just wish you had today (seriously, if PML could help your Orb interact with your Ambilight Plasma? love it).
